During lip procedures, more time is typically needed to achieve desired results. The client and technician will discuss and determine the ideal lip color and shape during the consultation. The procedure can enhance lip definition and add color. It's important to note that fever blisters are a common side effect of lip tattooing.

Cold Sores:
If you have a history of fever blisters, cold sores, shingles, or chickenpox (even in the past), it is necessary to take a prescribed anti-viral medication before and after the procedure for your safety and well-being. The medication should be taken 3-5 days prior to your procedure. Make sure to follow this important precautionary measure.

To maximize color retention, exfoliate your lips with a soft toothbrush or washcloth in the week before the procedure. Apply Vaseline or a lip moisturizer afterwards. Avoid waxing or using bleaching products on the area above your lips within one week of the procedure.

During the procedure, your lips will be numbed using topical anesthetics to ensure your comfort. Afterward, you will be provided with an ointment for post-procedure care along with detailed instructions. It is normal for your lips to be tender for a day or so after the procedure but over-the-counter pain medication can help alleviate discomfort. Applying ice can also reduce swelling. Complete healing of the lips typically takes 2-3 weeks, and a touch-up session is recommended for optimal results.
